My Strachan Grandfather & Family

Seeking any information on my late mother's father, Stansmore V. STRACHAN, and/or his relatives. Stansmore was a WWI veteran who worked for the Gaffey Funeral Home in Medford, MA. He had one brother, Ansley, who was employed at the Boston Globe. His parents were James and Mary? STRACHAN. The Strachan brothers grew up in West Medford, Massachusetts and attended Grace Episcopal Church. The family is buried in the Mystic Lawn section of Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. For a time my grandfather also lived in Dracut Massachusetts and I believe he had a son from a relationship there. I'm hoping to contact any STRACHAN relatives for genealogy and conversation

Strawn Family Bible Mystery

My mystery is a bible I have. On inside cover is written"Presented to Lezzie Strawn by her brother A.L. (could be H.L.) Strawn Dec 28, 1859. On the next page is marriage record and birth of two children. The marriage is Olive A. Stuart to Willis P. Wilson July 11, 1872. The births are Lorana Elizabeth Wilson 1873 and William Willis Wilson 1876. The parents of Olive Stuart were Isaac Heard Stuart born 1818-23 in GA. and Laurena C. Manning born 1835. I have found research by others saying Isaac Heard Stuart was married to Elizabeth Strawn and Victoria Greer, his last marriage was to Sally C. Unknown, she was born 1844, Clark Co. Ga and died Jan 11, 1914 Tillman Co. Ok. Would like to find out more on Lizzie Strawn, especially since I am guardian of her bible, at this time.

Where is White Cemetery, Foxtown, Kentucky?

My GGGGrandparents were John and Hannah (Strawn) White. I know they were buried in the Old White Cemetery near Foxtown, Kentucky (Madison County). My now deceased aunt found it in the 1960's. I only know it is supposed to be about a mile from Foxtown which no longer exists. Can anyone help me? I would also be glad to give you any information I have. Thank you.

When did Joseph David Strawn (1893-????) die?

Where & When did Joseph David STRAWN s/o Herman Lloyd & Helen (CHANDLER-BURNSIDE) STRAWN die? He was b. 1893 Chicago, IL; m. 1912 Westchester Co NY to Ruby Mildred BEERS; res. 1913 Niland, Imperial Co CA; res. 1920 Westchester Co NY; res. 1934 Chicago IL. Left Ruby in the 1920's when he was living in upstate NY. Was in Chicago in 1930's and possibly a military man. His mother Helen CHANDLER-STRAWN remarried Vincent BURNSIDE in the 1890's and Joseph sometimes went by the name of Joseph David BURNSIDE as was proved on his marriage certificate to Ruby BEERS. I really need this info as this is my grandfather. Am willing to pay a reward for positive proof of death date and place.
